Neil graduated in Fine Art Painting from Maidstone College of Art before attending the Motley Theatre Design Course in London.
Neil has also won four TMA Awards and a CATS award for best design, been part of numerous Edinburgh Fringe First productions and has been awarded The Linbury Prize for Stage design and the Sir Alfred Munnings Florence Prize for Painting. He has made props for Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller’s Night Walk for Edinburgh for Fruitmarket and itison’s Elfingrove, Ramesh Meyyappan, Royal College of Music and Subbuteo World. He has made architectural models for the Fruitmarket and various architectural firms. He is a trained scenic artist and was the designer for the Glasgow Year of Culture.
